Retail Store Assistant
£11.44 per hour

  • Reports to: Shop Manager
  • Department: Trading
  • Location: Nottingham, Clifton
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Working hours: Part-time, 7.5 hours per week on a rotating schedule
  • Closing date: December 2024, 23:55

We’re currently seeking a motivated store assistant to join our dynamic trading team. As an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, you’ll play a key role in representing our organization. Your shop will be a hub for the local community, showcasing our mission and the incredible work we do.

In a vibrant and energetic work environment, you’ll encounter something new daily—whether it’s the latest high street trends, a fresh community connection, or a hidden talent within yourself.

You’ll also be part of a team as committed to beating cancer as you are.


What will I be doing?

  • Delivering exceptional customer and supporter service.
  • Collaborating with your team to meet ambitious sales and fundraising goals.
  • Supporting the upkeep of shop standards, including visual displays, compliance with safeguarding policies, and health and safety.
  • Building relationships within your local community and with Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Assisting with fundraising events to help your shop meet its financial targets.

What skills are you looking for?

  • A strong understanding of excellent customer service.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • The ability to manage tasks independently and effectively.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred but not essential:

  • A keen interest in fashion or an understanding of it.
  • Previous retail experience.
