Location: Rotherham – Canterbury Close
Salary: £28,872 per annum / £13.22 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

This role offers a structured rota that typically provides 7 days off in every 14-day period:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

About the Role
Senior Support Workers play a vital role within our management teams. We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Senior Support Worker to help lead our residential service in Rotherham (Canterbury Close).
The service supports up to 10 individuals with a range of needs, including learning and physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, complex care needs, autism, low levels of challenging behaviour and mental health needs. The service provides a welcoming and supportive environment, supported by a dedicated and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals to gain greater independence in their daily lives
Providing hands-on, day-to-day support alongside leadership duties
Supporting the Service Manager with the daily running of the service
Allocating shifts and supporting rota management
Booking and coordinating staff training
Inducting and mentoring new colleagues
Supporting staff supervisions
Ordering and managing medication
Supporting individuals to manage their finances safely and effectively
You will play a key role in supporting colleagues to develop while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
Have experience as a Support Worker and are ready to progress, or
Already have experience in a senior support role
Are passionate about improving lives and leading by example
Share our values and commitment to high-quality care
You will be supported to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care as part of your ongoing development.
