Job Description

Medical Receptionist / Administrator – Temporary to Permanent

Immediate Start | £13.68 per hour

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and well-established GP practice in the Deal area and surrounding locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist or Administrator seeking a temporary-to-permanent role within a supportive clinical environment.

The successful candidate will be confident, organised, and able to step into the role with minimal training. Previous experience working within a GP surgery and familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner

  • Manage appointment bookings and maintain an accurate appointment diary

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries efficiently

  • Maintain patient records in line with confidentiality and data protection standards

  • Process patient registrations, insurance documentation, and relevant forms

  • Support daily administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry

  • Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient service delivery

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or within a GP practice setting

  • Working knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Confidence using IT systems and electronic patient record software

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Contract Details

  • Temporary to permanent opportunity
