About this Role

East Midlands Education Trust (EMET) is seeking an exceptional educational leader for the role of Trust Executive Lead of Inclusion and Safeguarding. Operating as a pivotal member of the senior Trust Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to the CEO, you will hold strategic and statutory responsibility for driving systemic excellence across all Trust academies.

Key Responsibilities:
– Serve as the executive lead for inspection preparation across all areas of inclusion and safeguarding
– Act as the ultimate strategic lead for safeguarding and child protection across the Trust, maintaining statutory compliance and overseeing Single Central Records (SCR)
– Implement trust-wide QA frameworks, mock inspections, and peer-review systems to monitor inclusion strategies
– Provide high-level leadership, mentoring, and accountability to SENDCOs, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Inclusion Leads, and school-based Senior Leadership Teams
– Lead programmes linked to SEND, Pupil Premium, Free School Meals, and alternative provision

About You:
– Proven track record operating across multiple sites or at senior leadership level within a MAT structure
– Extensive experience navigating the Ofsted inspection framework with demonstrable impact on safeguarding and inclusion outcomes
– Deep working knowledge of statutory frameworks surrounding safeguarding (KCSIE) and SEND/Inclusion
– Data-driven approach to leadership with ability to analyse complex performance metrics
– Exceptional interpersonal skills with the gravitas to report to CEO, Trust Board and external regulatory bodies
