About this Role
BBC Radio Cambridgeshire is looking for a journalist with sharp writing skills and a strong on-air voice to prepare and read its weekday early news bulletins, including smartspeaker bulletins. You’ll react to breaking stories, work with the digital team to extend content reach, and deliver the day’s news in an accessible, conversational way. Responsibilities include producing and reading news bulletins across Breakfast and Morning output, editing and sourcing stories that connect with local audiences, and working with editors, presenters and reporters. Good knowledge of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and an understanding of media law and ethics are required.
