About this Role
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and caring individual to lead the new wraparound provision, The Canopy, at Meridian Primary School in Comberton, on the outskirts of Cambridge. The Canopy provides a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children before and after the school day, covering Breakfast Club (Monday to Friday 7:30-9:00am) and After School Club (Monday to Thursday 3:00-6:00pm). The school is looking for a leader – or someone keen to develop leadership skills – who is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and creating a fun, inclusive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operation of the clubs, manage and support the wraparound staff team, plan a varied programme of engaging activities, oversee safeguarding, health and safety and first aid, and work with the Headteacher to develop and grow the provision. Candidates should have experience of working with primary-aged children in a childcare, education or play setting. Interviews take place on 11th August 2026, with a start date of 21st September 2026 or sooner.
