Wardrobe Assistant – The Hollow UK & Ireland Tour

Theatre producer Fiery Angel is seeking an experienced Wardrobe Assistant to join the production team for the 2026-27 UK and Ireland tour of The Hollow. Technical rehearsals and previews begin the week commencing 5 October 2026 at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, with the tour running to 29 May 2027 (including an unpaid Christmas break). The role supports the Head of Wardrobe and Deputy Head of Wardrobe in maintaining a safe, organised department: preparing and maintaining assigned costumes to performance standard, assisting performers with dressing and quick changes during performances, carrying out daily checks, repairs, cleaning and maintenance of costumes, footwear and accessories, presetting costumes before each performance, keeping accurate costume and laundry records, and assisting with wardrobe get-ins and get-outs at touring venues. Candidates need proven experience as a Dresser or Wardrobe Assistant on theatre productions or tours, strong costume maintenance skills including hand and machine sewing, repairs and laundering, excellent attention to detail and costume continuity, the ability to work calmly under pressure in live performance, good backstage etiquette, and a willingness to tour extensively and work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Experience of large-scale touring productions and period costume care is desirable.
