About this Role
The Cherwell School in Oxford is seeking to appoint a motivated Subject Mentor to join its large and multi-skilled Subject Mentor team. The team supports the school’s most vulnerable learners on a one-to-one basis in lessons, and also provides support to a variety of students within mainstream classrooms. Subject Mentors generally work within the individual faculties, so the school can play to your strengths while enriching your ability to support and differentiate for students through a deeper knowledge of the curriculum. The Cherwell School is a high performing and oversubscribed comprehensive with approximately 2,000 students on roll, including 680 in the Sixth Form, and was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in October 2022. This is a permanent part-time post of 27 hours per week with a start date of September 2026. The role is classified as a teaching assistant position; visas cannot be sponsored.
