About this Role

Plume School in Maldon, Essex is seeking to appoint a part-time Learning Support Assistant to start from Autumn 2026 on a fixed-term basis until 21 July 2027. The post offers an excellent opportunity to work within a strong SEND department at a highly successful academy holding a Good Ofsted rating, covering Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The core purpose of the role is to support the progress, learning, achievement and wellbeing of SEND students in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and academy policies and procedures. Applicants should hold qualifications in Maths and English at a minimum of grade C (or grade 4) GCSE or an equivalent Level 2 qualification; further relevant qualifications such as a teaching assistant qualification, a childcare qualification or A levels / Level 3 qualifications are desirable. The school is looking for someone hardworking and enthusiastic with a high level of commitment and the ability to focus on fostering teaching, learning and personal development. This is a part-time post of 30 hours per week. Visas cannot be sponsored.
