Medical Engineering Services are looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Medical Equipment Informatics Technologist. The position carries specific core areas of responsibility, but the post holder is also expected to cover other areas of expertise and to work both autonomously and as part of a team. The role commissions, calibrates, diagnoses, maintains, repairs and safety-checks a broad range of complex and specialised equipment including anaesthesia, life support, patient monitoring, therapy, diagnostic, ventilation and ultrasound systems. The post holder takes the lead on decision-making regarding equipment repair and customer liaison, provides a high level of technical and IT support, and delivers competence-based training to clinical staff as required by external auditing bodies. Responsibilities include ensuring all service process requirements are complied with across purchasing, receiving, manufacture, verification, maintenance and IT compliance.
