Medical Receptionist / Administrator – Temporary to Permanent
Immediate Start | £13.68 per hour
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and well-established GP practice in the Deal area and surrounding locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist or Administrator seeking a temporary-to-permanent role within a supportive clinical environment.
The successful candidate will be confident, organised, and able to step into the role with minimal training. Previous experience working within a GP surgery and familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner
Manage appointment bookings and maintain an accurate appointment diary
Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries efficiently
Maintain patient records in line with confidentiality and data protection standards
Process patient registrations, insurance documentation, and relevant forms
Support daily administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry
Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient service delivery
Key Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or within a GP practice setting
Working knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Confidence using IT systems and electronic patient record software
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
