Medical Receptionist / Administrator – Temporary to Permanent
Immediate Start | £13.68 per hour
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and well-established GP practice in the Sale area and surrounding locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist or Administrator seeking a full-time, ongoing temporary role with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will be confident, organised, and able to step into the role quickly. Previous experience working within a GP practice and a strong working knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and supportive manner
Manage appointment bookings and maintain an accurate and efficient appointment system
Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate patient records in line with confidentiality and data protection standards
Process patient registrations, insurance documentation, and related paperwork
Support daily administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and data entry
Liaise with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective service delivery
Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar GP practice role
Working knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
Confident IT skills and familiarity with electronic patient record systems
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
