Location: Rotherham – Canterbury Close
Salary: £28,872 per annum / £13.22 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Planned Rota – Excellent Work-Life Balance

This role offers a structured rota that typically provides 7 days off in every 14-day period:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

About the Role

Senior Support Workers play a vital role within our management teams. We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Senior Support Worker to help lead our residential service in Rotherham (Canterbury Close).

The service supports up to 10 individuals with a range of needs, including learning and physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, complex care needs, autism, low levels of challenging behaviour and mental health needs. The service provides a welcoming and supportive environment, supported by a dedicated and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals to gain greater independence in their daily lives

  • Providing hands-on, day-to-day support alongside leadership duties

  • Supporting the Service Manager with the daily running of the service

  • Allocating shifts and supporting rota management

  • Booking and coordinating staff training

  • Inducting and mentoring new colleagues

  • Supporting staff supervisions

  • Ordering and managing medication

  • Supporting individuals to manage their finances safely and effectively

You will play a key role in supporting colleagues to develop while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience as a Support Worker and are ready to progress, or

  • Already have experience in a senior support role

  • Are passionate about improving lives and leading by example

  • Share our values and commitment to high-quality care

You will be supported to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care as part of your ongoing development.
