Child Specific Learning Support Assistant

About this role

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and
dedicated Child Specific Learning Support Assistant to join our talented KS2
SEND team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to

development within our inclusive school community.

The successful candidate will work as part of our inclusion
team alongside class teachers and other professionals to support pupils’
learning and development. We are looking for someone who:

Candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching
and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is
essential (GCSE Grade C /4 and above or equivalent). Previous experience of working with children,
particularly those with additional needs, would be advantageous. Enthusiasm,
commitment and the ability to form positive relationships are equally
important.

The role
will be a temporary child specific role for 30 hours 50 minutes per week,
Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 08:30 to 15.10 with an unpaid
30-minute lunch break. The position will
be paid on Band C point 8 – 14 currently £26,824 – £29,540 (pay award pending)
pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience.
