About this Role
Join a well-established Clinical Coding Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Denbighshire. The post holder extracts medical terms from clinical documents and translates them into clinical codes for hospital activity. Trainee Clinical Coders start on a Band 3 pay structure until they gain NCCQ status, when they move to Band 4. Good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is required, along with keen attention to detail. A comprehensive training package including a Coding Standards Course is provided.
