About this Role

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking for a motivated individual to join its Clinical Coding Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Denbighshire. The post holder will extract medical terms from clinical documents and translate them into clinical codes for hospital activity. Trainee Clinical Coders will be considered if the post cannot be filled by a qualified coder, starting on Band 3 and moving to Band 4 upon gaining NCCQ status. Good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is required, along with keen attention to detail. A comprehensive training package including a Coding Standards Course is provided.
