About this Role
National Youth Theatre are looking for an Education Producer to lead engagement and build their education practice across the UK. The role develops strategic and scalable schools programmes, projects and initiatives, building and managing school relationships including teacher CPD, in-school delivery and teacher engagement opportunities. Other responsibilities include developing Education Packs for all NYT shows and online resources supporting drama delivery within the curriculum, supporting programming for NYT’s HUB online platform, growing attendance by education groups at NYT performances in the Workshop Theatre, the West End and on tour, and working across mainstream, non-mainstream, primary, secondary, alternative provision and Further Education settings. The postholder also supports NYT’s national programme of Schools Auditions and develops career pathways and skills events, creating resources for pupils, teachers and careers advisors. Essential requirements include at least four years’ experience in a creative role within education or the creative sector, significant experience leading education and participation programmes, and proven budget and freelancer management experience.
