About this Role

An opportunity to join a friendly, motivated and supportive team of Genetic Counsellors in the East Anglian Clinical Genetics Service, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. The post carries a broad caseload spanning cancer, general and prenatal genetics, and is a permanent 1.0 WTE Band 7 registered Genetic Counsellor role. Main duties include providing a high quality genetic counselling service at regional specialist level, supporting families affected by a genetic disorder, and comprehending and communicating complex medical and scientific information. Applications are welcomed from STP trainees in Genomic Counselling due to complete training and register in 2026, as well as applicants who have already completed a relevant Masters in Genetic or Genomic Counselling. A successful candidate eligible for registration but not yet registered at the time of starting would be appointed under Annex 21 terms.
