What you need to know:
- Hours: 17.5 hours per week.
- Contract type: Permanent
- Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £16.98 per hour.
- Location: The Mitchell Library with excellent public transport links and free parking on site.
While the anticipated pattern is likely to be 2 days one week and 3 days the next, we are very happy to discuss different working hour arrangements at interview. We encourage candidates to raise any preferences or requirements, as we are open to finding a pattern that works for both the service and the successful applicant.
What you’ll do
As the Information Officer (Resource Unit for Vision Impairment / Inclusion Services), you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to a Libraries & Communities Officer. You’ll play an essential role in delivering services in the Resource Unit for the Visually Impaired. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. You will, amongst other things, assist in the delivery of RUVI services to clients, support service users in the direct application of technology to enable improved service access and facilitate a programme of workforce development activity to raise awareness, confidence in assistive technologies and enable methods to support staff referring and connecting potential service users to RUVI’s opportunities.
