Music Therapist

About this Role

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is looking for a Music Therapist to provide high-quality music therapy to children and family members, using creative techniques to address the psychological challenges associated with life-limiting conditions, trauma, and issues of loss and grief. Based across hospice sites in Hampton and Guildford, you will work holistically within a multidisciplinary team of psychosocial professionals, carrying a diverse caseload and providing assessment plus individual and group therapy programmes. The role also involves offering advice, education, signposting, supervision and support to staff, families, schools and other professionals. Previous experience as an arts therapist in a health or social care setting and significant experience working with children and young people, including those with disabilities, are required.
