Pastoral Support Officer

Bristol Brunel Academy, a ‘Good’-rated secondary academy in Speedwell, Bristol, is seeking a committed and resilient Pastoral Support Officer. You will be a key point of contact for a designated cohort of students and their families, supporting welfare, behaviour, attendance and overall academy experience through targeted pastoral support, mentoring and interventions. Working closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, parents and external agencies, you will monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and wellbeing, respond to safeguarding concerns, and undertake home visits where required. The school looks for someone passionate about improving young people’s life chances, emotionally resilient, an excellent communicator, and experienced in supporting welfare and behaviour within a school or similar setting.
