About this Role

This DSIT role sits in the AI and Society team, part of the AI Adoption and Preparedness directorate. The team’s mission is to make AI deliver for UK citizens by tackling harms, building trust, and driving innovation. Work covers AI harms, copyright, labelling of AI-generated content, digital replicas (deepfakes), and AI assurance. The role offers two possible tracks: Policy Advisor – AI Assurance (supporting the government’s AI Assurance Roadmap, working with the AI Assurance Stakeholder Consortium and Centre for AI Measurement) or Policy Advisor – Engagement & Delivery (supporting strategic engagement around consultations, publications and parliamentary activity on digital replicas, AI-generated content labelling, creator control, and licensing for independent creatives). The role involves regular engagement with senior leadership and close collaboration with the Home Office, IPO, DCMS, and others.
