Senior Science Technician

About this Role

Harris Academy Tottenham is looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to support academic staff in the delivery of the Science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The school would like to hear from candidates with excellent numeracy, literacy, organisational and communication skills, experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines, experience of working on their own initiative and within a team, the ability to work flexibly in response to changing situations, relevant qualifications and further training, and knowledge of appropriate Health and Safety regulations. Responsibilities include ensuring all equipment is prepared to teachers’ specifications, the organisation, preparation, repair, cleaning and transport of equipment and materials, assisting in practical lessons and enrichment activities, preparation of stock orders, carrying out risk assessments, organising safe disposal of hazardous waste, and managing the allocation of work across the technician team.
