About this Role
The ONS is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Digital Services directorate, working on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for the latest cloud and software applications. You’ll design, develop, test and improve software that meets user needs, writing clean, secure, test-driven code. The role sits within the Data Dissemination team, building and supporting services that provide public access to ONS datasets, including new API services and tools to improve data publication. Essential skills include practical development experience in Go or Python, familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, event-driven technologies like Kafka, API and microservice architecture, CI/CD pipelines and cloud providers such as AWS.
