About this Role
Pentabus, the nation’s rural theatre company based in Shropshire, is seeking an experienced Touring Stage Manager for its production of Birdcatcher, a new play by Laura Waldren. The role combines TSM, DSM and CM duties: working closely with the Production LX to set up lighting, sound and set, maintaining the book in rehearsals, running daily schedules and leading get-ins and get-outs on tour. Phase 1 (autumn 2026) is a two-week tour of mostly one-nighters to village halls and rural communities; Phase 2 (2027) is a longer UK-wide tour with runs at theatres. Essential: at least 1 year of professional stage management and technical theatre experience, touring experience, strong people and problem-solving skills, and a full driving licence with van driving experience.
