Role Summary

Position: Community Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Unit 1, Twisleton Court, Priory Hill, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2EN
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (10 Programmed Activities – 7.5 DCC: 2.5 SPA)
Salary: £105,504 – £139,882 per annum (pro-rata)
On-Call Rota: Frequency 1:14, Category A with a 3% on-call supplement

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • CCT or equivalent qualification
  • Section 12 approval (or eligibility)
  • Approved Clinician status (or eligibility)
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register, or within six months of obtaining CCST

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide care as part of a multidisciplinary team for children and adolescents with mental health needs in Dartford.
  • Offer senior medical leadership and guidance within the team.
  • Work directly with young people, their families, and external agencies, including other CAMHS providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the 1:14 on-call rota (3% salary supplement).
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including another full-time CAMHS Consultant, a Senior Trainee, and a part-time CT LAS.
  • Actively support team members and promote collaborative working across health and social care services.
