Job Overview
Alliance Medical Ltd is offering an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist to join their team. This role is based at Glenfield General Hospital, Leicester, and provides a chance to work with one of Europe’s leading independent providers of imaging services.
The ideal candidate will be registered with the HCPC or hold an equivalent voluntary registration. Candidates with experience in Nuclear Medicine, particularly PET-CT, and proficiency in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals are preferred. Expertise in IV cannulation is highly desirable. However, candidates with significant experience as a Radiographer and no prior PET-CT experience will also be considered, as training will be provided.
The position requires a patient-focused professional committed to delivering the highest quality of care. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake a comprehensive competency-based training programme in PET-CT.
- Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of PET-CT through “on-the-job” training and formal instruction in partnership with the Christie School of Oncology PET-CT Training Academy.
- Perform IV cannulation on patients. Full training in this skill will be provided if required.
- Ensure high-quality patient care by adhering to best practices and maintaining professional standards.
- Maintain flexibility to work across multiple sites if required.

Experience:
- Prior experience in PET-CT (preferred).
- Competence in IV cannulation (training available for those without certification).
- IT literacy is essential.
- Experience in CT imaging (desirable).
Qualifications and Registration
- Must hold UK HCPC registration or equivalent.
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance required.
