About this Role

The Youth Engagement Schools (YES) Trust, a growing specialist multi-academy trust bringing together alternative provision and specialist schools, is seeking an exceptional educational leader as Regional Director for School Improvement for its North West region. This is a rare opportunity to shape educational excellence across a region within an ambitious and growing national Trust, strengthening leadership, driving sustainable school improvement and ensuring every child benefits from the highest quality education. Reporting to the Director of Education, you will act as the Trust’s strategic school improvement partner across your region, working alongside Executive Headteachers and Headteachers to evaluate effectiveness, identify priorities, facilitate support and provide constructive challenge. Responsibilities span implementing the Trust School Improvement Strategy, quality assuring School Development Plans and Self Evaluation Frameworks, leading review visits, learning walks, deep dives and safeguarding reviews, analysing outcomes, progress, attendance, behaviour and destination data, providing professional challenge and accountability to school leaders, maintaining expert knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and leading inspection readiness activity, and reporting to the Director of Education and Board of Trustees. The Trust is looking for an accomplished educational leader with a proven track record of securing school improvement – this may be an experienced Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, senior Trust leader, serving Ofsted Inspector or experienced system leader. Benefits include 35 days holiday plus bank holidays, Teacher Pension Scheme, high-quality CPD, and flexible working arrangements. An enhanced DBS check is required and visas cannot be sponsored.
