About this Role
Angel Shed, an Islington-based charity giving children and young people of all abilities and backgrounds access to the performing arts, is recruiting a Co-Lead Music Facilitator for its Music Collective. The Collective is an inclusive weekly session for 15 young people aged 16 to 30, focused on improvisation and experimentation as a route into ensemble playing, songwriting and composition, with annual live performances and studio recordings. You will plan and lead the weekly workshops with overall responsibility for content and delivery, manage the Assistant Facilitator and volunteer team during sessions, run staff briefings and debriefs, support the Safeguarding Leads, and offer pastoral support to members alongside the Creative Director. Applicants need to be assured facilitators with experience leading and co-creating workshops with children and young people, experience in SEN/D or inclusive settings, and competence on at least one instrument including voice. Safeguarding training and experience managing facilitators or volunteers are desirable, and multi-instrumentalists and singer-instrumentalists are particularly welcome.
