The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the oldest radio orchestra in the world, is seeking an inspiring and virtuosic artistic Leader to work with the orchestra to shape performances, broadcasts, and recordings. The role involves leading the orchestra and First Violin section in rehearsals, performances, recordings and broadcasts, sharing leadership responsibilities with other appointed Leaders, and working closely with the Chief Conductor to establish and maintain standards of style, intonation, balance, ensemble, rhythm and musical interpretation.
