About this Role
The Department for Education is recruiting a media officer to join its communications team, helping tell the public and media about DfE’s work transforming early years, schools, colleges, universities and children’s services. Responsibilities include creating media handling plans for key announcements, building relationships with journalists, advising ministers and senior officials on communication implications of policy, and monitoring and evaluating media coverage. The role also involves an out-of-hours duty rota providing on-call media support.
