About this Role
BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales is seeking an Orchestra Librarian based at Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff. The role involves sourcing, preparing and managing printed music for the orchestra, ensuring timely, cost-effective and copyright-compliant provision of accurate materials, checking and marking parts with conductors and musicians, and maintaining and cataloguing the music library. The successful candidate will also manage hire budgets, provide orchestrations, and support auditions and rehearsals. Essential skills include strong music literacy, ability to interpret scorings and orchestrations, excellent attention to detail, and competency amending parts using music notation.
