About this Role

Semiconductors are one of six frontier technologies prioritised in the Industrial Strategy’s Digital and Technology sector plan. The Semiconductor Unit in DSIT leads the UK’s strategic efforts to strengthen our semiconductor ecosystem through targeted R&D investment, workforce development, access to finance support and international collaboration. This HEO Policy Advisor role will support developing, managing and tracking progress of DSIT’s Semiconductor Team Strategy, delivering special projects including large investment cases and FDI strategy. Responsibilities include strategy delivery, priority projects and investment cases, major company account management (key semiconductor companies), cross-Whitehall and Devolved Administration engagement, and maintaining the semiconductor briefing hub (PQs, submissions, speeches, evidence base).
