About this Role
The BBC’s West and South West Investigations team delivers high-impact original stories guided by public interest journalism. As a senior journalist based in Guernsey and working across Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney and Sark, you’ll originate ambitious ideas with real public value, break exclusives, hold power to account and produce journalism people trust. Responsibilities include generating and developing high-impact investigations, identifying stories that matter most to Channel Islands audiences, writing, filming and producing content for online, social, TV, radio and Sounds, and navigating complex logistical, legal and editorial issues. Essential criteria include strong editorial skills, experience developing complex investigations, self-shooting and editing on FCPX, and thorough knowledge of the Channel Islands and local audiences with an established network of contacts.
