About this Role

The Department for Transport is recruiting two Senior Policy Advisors to help deliver the Government’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy, jointly sponsored with the Civil Aviation Authority. One post focuses on sponsorship of the new UK Airspace Design Service, the other on delivering airspace changes across the rest of the UK. Responsibilities include developing and iterating policy, making recommendations to ministers, drafting briefings, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting related legislative measures through Parliament. Candidates need strong written and oral communication skills, experience working with technical experts across organisational boundaries, and experience operating in a fast-changing environment; aviation sector knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
