Superdrug is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Manager to join their team in Ilfracombe, offering an opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of the local community. This role is part of Superdrug’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare across the UK through its extensive network of 200 pharmacies and over 60 health clinics.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will take on day-to-day responsibility for managing your team, overseeing stock control, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring compliance with GPhC (or PSNI) regulations. This role is not only about excellent management but also about bringing strong commercial acumen and leadership skills to inspire your team to exceed targets and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will receive direct support from a Regional Healthcare Manager and will have opportunities to progress within the organisation, potentially advancing to the role of Regional Healthcare Manager in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of pharmacy professionals to deliver exceptional clinical care and customer service.
  • Managing stock, ensuring operations meet the highest standards, and maintaining GPhC or PSNI compliance.
  • Growing the business by achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Demonstrating commercial awareness to maximise profitability, especially through an understanding of NHS pharmacy funding streams.
  • Inspiring and motivating your team to perform at their best.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current registration as a qualified pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team effectively.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in community pharmacy.
  • Understanding of NHS pharmacy funding and strategies to maximise profitability by achieving business targets.
