Retail Store Assistant (Keyholder Responsibility)

• Hourly Rate: £11.44 plus benefits
• Reports to: Shop Manager
• Department: Trading
• Location: Haslemere
• Contract: Permanent
• Hours: Part-time, 6 hours per week – Sundays only
• Closing Date: Open until filled (shortlisting occurs on a rolling basis, and the vacancy will close once sufficient applications are received).

Join our Trading team as a Retail Store Assistant, where you’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Your shop will be a hub for the community to connect with our people, learn about our mission, and see the difference we make.

You’ll also work alongside a team of individuals just as passionate about beating cancer as you are.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exceptional service to customers and supporters.
• Collaborate with the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising goals.
• Support the maintenance of shop standards, including visual presentation, compliance with safeguarding policies, and health and safety requirements.
• Build relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Assist in fundraising events for the store to meet targets.
• Take on keyholder responsibilities when needed (training provided).

Note: The role involves varied manual handling and physical activity as part of daily duties.

• Ability to independently manage your workload.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work on a rota basis, accommodating store needs while respecting your life outside work.
