Take charge and lead a high-performing procurement team in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. This role is key in driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and enhancing operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Design and execute a robust procurement strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Team Management: Inspire and guide a team of procurement professionals, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Complex Procurement: Oversee intricate procurement projects, including tenders, negotiations, and contract management.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to maximize performance and achieve cost efficiency.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize supplier performance.
- Risk Management: Proactively address supply chain risks through strong contract terms and contingency planning.
- Compliance: Ensure full adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures.
- Innovation: Promote continuous improvement and innovative practices within the procurement function.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven success in leading procurement teams and achieving results.
- Strong skills in negotiation and influencing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- CIPS qualification or equivalent.
