About this Role

An opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised Medical Writers to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) — one on a permanent basis and one on a 16-month fixed-term basis. The role involves working at a national level as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing technical, scientific, data and analytical support. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and will provide medical writer support to the Medicines Optimisation and Welsh Analytical Prescribing Support Unit (WAPSU) team. Applicants with a science, pharmacy or healthcare background are welcome. Essential requirements include a life science degree and postgraduate diploma or equivalent level of knowledge, report writing and editorial skills, critical appraisal skills, excellent written and IT skills, knowledge of guideline development and medicine assessment methodology, evidence-based medicine and research skills, and experience of literature searching and evaluation. Welsh language skills are desirable.
