About this Role
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting an Emergency Medical Technician for its Acute Medical Services, working across AMU, SDEC and the Short Stay Unit at Lister Hospital in Stevenage. You will be trained to a high level of practical skills including baseline observations, application of support and splintage, cardiac monitoring, venepuncture, basic life support (including automated external defibrillation), wound care and suturing. You will assist nursing staff in maintaining a safe environment and delivering a high standard of patient care. Essential requirements include a good basic education in English and Maths, previous employment within a healthcare setting, experience dealing with patients, and the adaptability to prioritise work under pressure.
